Nissan won’t be offering a 2021 370Z
As it turns out, the 370Z’s demise will be a gradual one as the sports car won’t be axed right away. Instead, Nissan decided not to offer a 2021 370Z, which means the latest you can buy is the 2020 model year.
You see, Nissan has confirmed to Car Dealer Magazine that Europe and the United Kingdom will not receive the 400Z. … 2019 has also marked the third-lowest annual sales volume in a few decades for the small sports car segment on the Old Continent, including the UK.
It’ll make 400 horsepower from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. And, judging by the excitement it’s generated within The Drive’s Slack newsroom, it looks the business. Yes, it has a manual.
At the heart of the Z is a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged 24-valve engine. An aluminum-alloy block and heads keep things light, while a water-cooled intercooler helps keep things cool. An optical speed sensor brings power with turbine speeds up to a dizzying 220,000 rpm.
The 370Z features a 3.7-liter V6 engine that puts out 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The 370Z Nismo trim has the same engine, but it produces 350 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque.
All come with the same turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 engine, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. … Although there’s only one engine option, there are two different engine outputs.
A Nissan 370Z will depreciate 42% after 5 years and have a 5 year resale value of $24,508. The chart below shows the expected depreciation for the next 10 years. These results are for vehicles in good condition, averaging 12,000 miles per year. It also assumes a selling price of $42,031 when new.
The 2022 Nissan 400Z will produce 331kW and weigh 1475kg, if figures published in the recently-updated Project Cars 3 racing game prove accurate.
We already know the 400Z will use a twin-turbo V6. The natural presumption was that Nissan would bring over the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 from the Infiniti Q60, which is offered in both 300- and 400-horsepower variants. But the Project Cars 3 screen grab lists the power higher: 444 horsepower.
The 370Z is about 14 feet long. Its curb weight ranges from 3,333 to 3,486 pounds.
Just like its predecessors, the “R32-R34”, the R35 is all-wheel drive with a twin-turbo 6 cylinder engine. But thats about all they have in common, the traditional Straight-6 RB26DETT engine has been replaced with a new V6 VR38DETT, also the four-wheel-steering HICAS system has been removed.
The VR38DETT features 24 valves controlled by dual overhead camshafts (2 per cylinder head) with variable valve timing on the intake only. The block is cast aluminium with 0.15 mm (0.0059 in) plasma-sprayed cylinder liner bores.
Nissan 370Z is available in 7 different colours – Brilliant Silver, Diamond Black, Premiun Lemans Blue, Blade Silver, Brilliant White Pearl, Black Rose and Vibrant Red.
