One of the biggest reasons Chevy says it made the C8 Corvette mid-engine was for better rear grip, resulting in quicker acceleration times. It worked—the company says the car can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, a time we were able to match in our official testing.Apr 10, 2020
This real-world drag race closely matched what we saw during performance testing at the Edmunds test track. There, the Corvette 0-60 mph result was 3.4 seconds (3.2 seconds with a 1-foot rollout), while the quarter-mile time was 11.5 seconds at 119.7 mph. But the Tesla Model Y wasn’t far behind. … Tesla Model Y vs.

Where Stingray is the standard Corvette specification, think of Z51 as a sport package which readies the car for track use and hard driving. Stickier tires, bigger brakes, improved cooling, enhanced traction, and a power bump are typical aspects of the Z51 mix.
The name “Stingray,” or “Sting Ray” as it was written in 1963, evokes an immediate connection to predatory fish of the ocean. Indeed, two concept Corvettes shared the namesake of a Mako Shark caught by Bill Mitchell, Vice President of Design at General Motors, (1958-1977).

A Camaro ZL1 will lap the Nurburgring 10 seconds faster than a Hellcat, and I’m talking with that stock 6.2-liter V8. So, if you add some goodies under the hood, you can expect that time to go down even further. Plus, the ZL1 beats the hell out of the Hellcat in price.
Ludicrous Plus Mode (P100DL only)
Turn on Ludicrous mode. Hold your finger on the word Ludicrous for 5-10 seconds, the screen will show a brief light show emulating going through space. This box will then appear, pressing ‘Yes, bring it on! ‘ will start heating the battery beyond the above ‘Max Battery Mode’.

The pricing of the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette starts at $60,900 for the coupe and $68,400 for the convertible for the base 1LT trim.
